Fluctuations
Fluctuations is a video mapping projection as part of Bloom Santa Cruz on Saturday, April 19th, 2014 at the Lighthouse Point, Santa Cruz, California. This event highlighted the relationships between our freshwater and ocean ecosystems with an emphasis on sustainability. Water, Ocean, Light, Time, Human/Non-Human Interaction, Ecology & Sustainability. It was a unique combination of site-specific installation art, video projection mapping on the lighthouse and surrounding landscapes, sound art, performance art, sculpture, ocean advocacy, educational outreach, and more.
Fluctuations is a metaphor to visualize Ecosystems historically forming the cliffs at different geological periods before the present. Global marine level fluctuations and tectonic movements originated the cliffs standing on today in Santa Cruz, California
